to ring in the new year
Okay. Don't even try to pretend like you don't love me. I have got such the fantasmagorical roundabout for you guys this time! ^__^ March Hare said she was going to update as soon as she got back from Atlanta, GA. Seeing as I do not know when she will be back, I am going to go ahead and upload my stuffs. Please comment if you download. It is always nice to see things like that. Coolies. So here are Hatter's Picks!

Passion ~version: after the battle~
Hikaru Utada
This is the after battle theme song from KHII. If you aren't excited about this, then you are an idiot! If you cannot tell already, I love this song and I absolutely love Kingdom Hearts 2!! BEST GAME EVAR! It is not even funny, what I feel towards this beautiful mix between Disney and Squenix. SO GREAT! This version is a little slower than the other one and it does not have the weird little electronica riff in it. It is still effing great, though. I command thee to download it.

Passion ~single/normal version~
Hikaru Utada
This is the other version of the above song. There's not much difference, but I thought I'd put it up anyway, just in case people wanted to two different ones. Y'know, for the uber obsessed people like me who have to have everything to do with the game. ^__^ What can I say? I love it.

Do You Want To
Franz Ferdinand
Franz Ferdinand's newest single is soooo great. I bought their CD and was blown away by it. I love the ScotRock feel they have that goes through the whole album. They remind me of a lovestruck Edward Gorey (Google him! You'll love him!). As usual, Franz Ferdinand has astounded me.

Evil and a Heathen
Franz Ferdinand
My favorite song on their newest album. Why is it that a lot of the songs I love nowadays have so much to do with sex? I noticed that trend when I was at March Hare's house. Anyway, this song is extremely well-written, like all of Franz Ferdinand's songs, and has a great catchy feel to it. If these songs don't convince you to get the CD, then I don't know what will.

Come Out Clean
Jump, Little Children
I love this song. It has the (second) best chorus I've ever heard in a JLC song! It ranks right up there with Body Parts in my favorite songs from them. Have you ever heard of Enter the Haggis? They're an Irish band. That's what JLC reminds me of. They have this super duper cool pop rock sound, but with a lighter feel than Enter the Haggis. Maybe some Enter the Haggis will also be on this [download]

Jump, Little Children
Bet you're wondering why I'm putting up all these JLC songs. Well, it's to show you the amazing versatility of this amazing band. I mean, the three songs up are so different from each other, but you can also tell that they're all JLC songs! Especially if you go buy the CD. I mean it. Go buy the CD Magazine (the one that these songs are on)!!!

Body Parts
Jump, Little Children
This is my favorite JLC song ever. I love it so much that March Hare and I listened to it on repeat for about three hours. Yup. That long. And I STILL love it. It has this spoken-word feel to it, along with the crazy cello in the beginning. I guess I'm so attached to it because I saw it live. The vocalist (I won't bother with names, because you probably don't know them anyway) was sooooooo sexy singing this, and the celloist looked like a literal angel, arched over his instrument. Oh so sexy. So is the song.

So, there you have it. A bunch of songs for y'all to ring in the new year with! Happy Everything and an Awesome New Year! I'll see ya in 2006!!! ^__^

Hatter's Birthday Picks
That's right! It's my birthday, as of Tuesday, December 13th!!! YAY!!! ^___^ These songs are all ones I absolutely adore and cannot get enough of. Therefore I'm putting them up here. Just you try n' stop me! It's my birthday, I can post if I want to. Sorry, bad music pun. Anyway. I used MegaUpload for these so they won't expire like the last ones. Sorry about that! >__< If anyone wants any past songs, just leave a comment and we'll reupload for ya! There's also a little extra media in there for y'all. Enjoy this week's Mad Hatter selection.

Senor Senora Senorita
Language: MYV...just kidding, it is in Japanese
Comments: Who does not love Miyavi? Do not answer that. I love Miyavi. He is drop dead sexy, has an awesome persona, and is a great musician. LoveLOVEMYV! This song has a (?) feel to it. One of my favorite online friends gave it to me free of charge and I absolutely love her for that. Yay for you; you know who you are! Anyways. This is a Miyavi song. Download it. Do you need a reason?

Language: English...we think
Comments: I LOVE THIS SONG SO FUCKING MUCH! It has the catchiest chorus I have ever heard in my life and the best beat ever. I listened to this for a day straight while I bounced around my room like a mad woman. Everyone should have this. Everyone should download it. Yes. Do it. NOW.

The Yellow Monkey
Language: Japanese
Comments: Besides Dir en Grey's Cage, this was the first Jrock song I ever heard. I loved it instantly and recently discovered it in my computer's hard drive. I was hit with a wall of sentimentality, nostalgia for the good old days when I was just discovering Jrock and didn't have so many opinions. This song is one of those rare pieces that gives me a lump in my throat, tears in my eyes, and an odd feeling in my stomach. I just feel so sad when I listen to this song. I have no idea what the lyrics are, but it gets to me anyway. I hope everyone can enjoy this as much as I do.

Extra Clippy:
This is the famous fanservice concert thingie featuring none other than Miyavi and Daigo Stardust. I loved it so much that I wanted to upload it for everyone. It's kind of like a birthday present to everyone who loves Miyavi or Daigo. They're both sexpots, yeah?

March Hare & Hatter [ 8:34 AM ]

You, who are on the road,
Must have a code that you can live by.
And so, become yourself,
Because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by.
And feed them on your dreams,
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by.
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.
Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by.
And feed them on your dreams,
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.......

Hatter’s Picks
~using RapidShare today~

O Green World
The Gorillaz
Comments: This is an awesome song. Not as awesome as my favorite song, Dare, but still really good. The beginning is super cool. If you like this, go get the album, Demon Days!

Two Step
Dave Matthews Band
Comments: Oooohhh, this is my absolute favorite Dave Matthews Band song. It is so great. It gives me these weird shivers all up and down my arms. A side comment…Boyd Tinsley, the violinist, has a solo career now. If you love the violins in DMB’s songs, then definitely check his site out.

Holland, 1945
Neutral Milk Hotel
Comment: Our friend the Dormouse burned the Neutral Milk Hotel CD for me. I absolutely love her for doing so. The lyrics of NMH sound like actual literature, like a real poem, instead of some manufacted poppy bullshit. (Though some of that manufactured poppy bullshit is on my permanent playlist. >__<) This song is one of my favorites because of the beauty and horror it expresses at the same time. I’m always a fan of that duality.

[Chin Lin]

[Ni Ke Yi Bu Yi Yang (You Can Be Different)]

[über awesome song… even if it is in Chinese! The chorus is perfect, the violin in the background mixes perfectly with the guitars. If I knew what Chin Lin was saying… I’d assure you that it’s about leaving a guy >oo<””” still a great song anyhoo.] [download]

Frou Frou
It’s Good To Be In Love
This is my favorite song by Frou Frou. The imagery she uses here is simply fantastic. That’s my creative writing side coming out there. This doesn’t sound like it was supposed to be a song; it sounds as if she were actually writing a poem. It’s wonderful

Donna the Buffalo
Blue Skies
My favorite song! It’s so catchy! It get stuck in my head so easily whenever I listen to it! AHH!!! ^_____^ I love this song to death. It was the first Donna the Buffalo song I ever heard. That was when I got hooked on the folksy sound. It’s so great. I love it.

[Sufjan Stevens]

[Decatur, or Round of Applause For Your Stepmother]

[This time around, I’ve got Sufjan Stevens for you. Called “strange and lush” by The Pitchfork Review, it’s an eclectic album that has something for every folk-song-loving-indie-hippie out there. It’s great. I chose Decatur, or Round of Applause For Your Stepmother because it’s my favorite song. I love it absolutely. My dad never got remarried, so I don’t have a stepmom, but I still love it. ]

[ download]

[Classic hide song. Hide is great, y’know? He’s just…great. There’s nothing else you can say about him. Awesomely awesome, that’s him! Wow. I could gush forever. Yeah. So…anyways. Dice is a really good song. Not his best, but it’s definitely a classic and a must download. So, do it!]

[ download]

[The Phantom of the Opera ~Techno Version~]

[THIS IS A COOL SONG!!! It’s got all these operatic sopranos and screams and damn it’s sooo cool. I loverlies it. Yum scrumptious. I can even hit the high notes when, in the very beginning, the woman sings, “The phantom of the opera!” It’s so awesome. Plus it’s Trance. Plus it’s techno. Come on. You know you wanna.]

Better Than Ezra

This song is rumored to be the new theme for Desperate Housewives. I don't know for sure, though. It's still my favorite song of all time by BTE! Yay for Juicy! I saw them live and it was fookang awesome, an instant favorite. I can understand how with the “nah nah nah nah nah” it would annoy some people, but it’s such a cute-sounding-but-overall-deep song. Download this! Ye shall love it.

Sorry! Only one song for now. My computer’s being screwy. I’ll update soon, I promise! ^__^

March Hare & Hatter [ 7:36 AM ]

The following is a test of the emergency broadcast system. Remember, this is only a test.

Thank you for your time. If this were an actual emergency, this series of screams would have been accompanied by a guttural splurch and a thick splash of blood across the keyboard. We now return you to COPS already in progress.

Hi! I'm Virginia Lee. This is going to be my music rotation site. I'm going to have whatever I want on here. Feel free to leave requests; I'll try to do my best and get at least three of them! ^__^ First come, first serve, or whatever's easiest to find. Please leave only one request per week, as that's probably how often I'll be updating. Okay? Good.
1) Support the artists. If you like their stuff, buy it and make them happy.
2) Only download one song at a time.
3) I use MegaUpload. Don't like me for that, then don't download it. So there.
4) Just kidding. There isn't a four.

Now. The music will be up later.
